Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
As we do each Thursday, we are joining our friends, the Two spoiled Cats, Angel Sammy and Teddy, in writing a poem. This is the photo they provided for our inspiration this week. My poem is below.
To read Sammy’s poem—he transmits it each week from the rainbow bridge—click on his badge. You won’t regret it, as his poems are always terrific. You’ll find links to the poetry of other bloggers in the Comments section.
Waiting for Sunrise
Rising before dawn
Breakfast finished
I rest on the porch
With a mug of joe
Waiting for God
To light up the world
With my trusted sign
That I have been blessed
With yet another day
To savor my life

Thankful Thursday
Sawyer is asleep on Mom’s feet as she types this for us. That always makes her thankful and happy. He had a seizure two nights ago, but it wasn’t a grand mal. That’s a big thankful for both Mom and Dad. And the stinker has been eating a bit better the last couple of days. That’s always a good thing.
We won another “Right Guesser” badge on Two Spoiled Cats’ Tuesday Teaser.
Mom is thankful that today she will complete her 600th ride on the Peloton. She has been riding for 98 weeks without missing any weeks.
We are thankful for all our friends and supporters, especially those who hop with us on Sundays.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by Brian. To join, post for what you are thankful on your blog and then click on the above badge.
Love the poem! It’s purrfect for that photo! We’re glad Sawyer didn’t have a bigger seizure. We’re still sending him purrs. Concatulations to your mom’s Peloton milestone! Our mommy goes to boot camp every week at o’dark thirty but we don’t know how many times she’s gone.
Great poem! I am impressed with your mom riding the Peloton so faithfully. XO
Nice poem. Lovely photo to go with the poem too.
We really like your poem and are Super Happy to hear that it was a petite mal. Well we are not sure if that is what they are called in cats but anyhow we are happy.
What a great poem. Fits that photo very well. We’re glad Sawyer is eating better but sorry that he had another seizure.
That was a terrific poem and hooray for Sawyer, keep doing good my friend. Way to go Mom, keep on riding! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Great poem! We’re really happy that Sawyer is eating well! We know that makes everyone rest easier.
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle who says she is so happy to hear he is eating.
LOVE the poem today – it’s just exactly the feeling my Mom had when she read Sammy’s poem. Thanks for being loyal poets with us!!! So happy Sawyer has been eating like a good boy – he needs those meds so we’re happy he’s getting them in his food. GOOD BOY!
Hugs, Teddy
