Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Another week has flown by, and we are back with a poem for Teddy and Angel Sammy’s poetry challenge, Thoroughly Poetic Thursday.
Here’s this week’s inspiration photo, followed by my poem.
Secret Door
Behind the secret door
Is a place I’d like to explore.
I bet I would find fairies there
Flitting and flying…without a care.
The flowers would all be exotic,
And there’d be music melodic.
I know, if I could just get inside,
There forever I’d want to reside.

Thankful Thursday
Mom and Dad and Sawyer are happy that he broke his six-day seizure streak. As Mom types this, he is at nine days. We all have our paws crossed that nothing happens before you read this.
Mom is thankful to have had the opportunity to work in the yard, and hopes to go back again today. After that, the rain and cooler temps will be returning for the next week.
Mom was super excited and grateful when she got two birthday shout outs on her Peloton ride last Saturday. It is always motivating when that happens.
We are all super duper thankful that Covid-19 has not come to our area. If any of you are in areas with outbreaks, please follow the appropriate measures to stay safe and keep your family and friends safe as well.
As always, we are grateful for our friends, followers and supporters. We do not want any of you to become ill.

That is such good news about Sawyer. We purr that he continues to be seizure free.
Great poem. I am glad Sawyer has gone 9 days without a seizure- hope it continues. XO
Thanks for sharing your poem and what you are thankful for. The best is the Sawyer is at the nine day mark and hope it keeps going. Have a wonderful day and enjoy the weekend coming up soon.
MOL Mom just realized she left this page open and never commented! DUH!
We like your poem and have our paws crossed that “you know who” won’t have a “you know what” anytime soon.

Purrayers for Sawyer to keep his streak going !
I loved yoor poem, and I’m so happy that Sawyer is doing well. I will keep him in my pawprayers that he continues being seizure free. Our daddy found out a coworker has the Virus. He works for an International company so they are always traveling. The Virus is now in Memphis. Daddy keeps to his office and away from germy hoomons. Mom makes him lunch so he doesn’t go out to eat his noms at noon. And he wipes down his office several times a week now instead of just at the start of the month. Doing all we can to stay healthy here at Casa Wonderpurr.
Love that poem! Hooray for Sawyer, good news!!!
Great news on Sawyer. I’m so happy for you and for him.
Love your poem. Magical.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Big hug to you and scritches to all the kitties. ♥
What’s behind the door? is always a mystery that some of us want to solve! Maybe we have some cat in us, ’cause they want to know what’s on every side of doors.
Covid-19 is here in our area, and the office is beginning to implement new procedures. Luckily, I have next week off!
That is a very cute poem! Hooray Sawyer, get the streak going pal. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Looks like a magical door! Cute poem. So grateful Sawyer has surpassed his six days. Praying that he continues seizure free.
That is good news for Sawyer, and I hope it continues.
The poem is nice. I have visions of a secret garden and a fairy glen behind it.
SO happy that Sawyer is stretching out the seizure free days – what a blessing that is! YAY SAWYER. We love your poem for THE DOOR too. Isn’t that a great inspiration? It was particularly fun for me since I must have painted at least 50 of those back in my artistic days! Doors can take us ANYWHERE……….. Thanks for playing along with Angel Sammy on Poetry Thursday!
Love, Pam
Hope ya stay seizure-free for a while Sawyer!
That ‘door’ does look like it might be hiding some fun adventures behind it:)
Hooray for Sawyer doing well.
Our nursing facility is under strict quarantine right now, to try and keep all the residents safe. A nearby hospital has imposed strict visiting rules, and at least one university hass gone to online classes only.
Our city has not had a known case, but there are 2 in Michigan, if I heard it correctly. All the store shelves are bereft of cleaning and paper products, and don’t even try to find hand sanitizer or alcohol…sigh…
